Information you give us. If you email us, submit music or an event, we receive the details you type into that form — typically your name, email address, city, genre and any links or message you include.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) to serve pages and detect abuse. We do not run advertising trackers or sell profiles.

To reply to you, to consider submitted music for editorial coverage, to keep the site secure and working, and to understand in aggregate which stories readers find useful.

We use a small number of service providers to operate the site: our hosting and database platform, and an email delivery provider for form notifications. They process data on our instructions only. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.

The site works without advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any cookies present are functional — they keep a session working or remember a preference on this site only.

Form submissions and correspondence are kept as long as needed to handle the request and to maintain an editorial record. Server logs are retained on a short rolling window by our host.

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email latinmusiccan@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our response you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
