Get ready for one of the most exciting Afro-Latin releases of the year. Rising Colombian singer-songwriter Jhosy has dropped his brand-new single “OBVIO,” his first official release under the powerhouse label BMG, through a new partnership with Creative Titans.

Hailing from Cartagena, Colombia, Jhosy has been making waves by blending Afrobeat grooves with Latin rhythms, creating a fresh, emotional sound that resonates across cultures. “OBVIO” is an Afro-pop ballad filled with vulnerability, inspired by the red string of fate theory, capturing the moment of acceptance when a relationship reaches its end — even when the feelings remain.

“This is an emotional confession,” Jhosy explains. “Writing it was a way of healing and accepting that sometimes, even if you love someone, they're not meant to stay.”

The track, produced by Joe On The Beat, is available on all digital platforms. Fans got a sneak peek when Jhosy debuted the song live at BIME Bogotá, one of the most important industry stages in Ibero-America. The official music video was shot by directors Wolf and Kery Films.

Jhosy is a key figure in the new wave of Afro-Latin pop. His unique blend of Afrobeat and Latin sounds has earned him collaborations with Manuel Turizo, Beele, Piso 21, the UK's Clean Bandit, and Ghanaian Afrobeat superstar Stonebwoy. With his sights set on the global stage, his debut EP with BMG promises to take the Colombian Caribbean sound even further.
